Background: Cytokeratin 7 was found to occur
in the columnar epithelium of the lung, cervix,
breast, bile ducts, larger collection ducts of the
kidney and in mesothelium, but is absent from
gastrointestinal epithelium, hepatocytes,
proximal and distal tubules of the kidney and
myoepithelium. Keratin 7 could not be detected
in the stratified epithelia of the skin, tongue,
oesophagus or cervix but strongly stained
urinary bladder transitional epithelium.
Specificity: Recognizes karatin 7 (54 kD
cytokaratin proteins).
Species Reactivity: Human, hamster, mouse,
and potaroo kangaroo.
Isotype: Mouse Ig G1
Immunogen: Cell line T24
Format: Product: Format: 1 ml culture
supernatant in 0.15 M PBS with 1 BSA and
0.02 sodium azide.
Storage and Stability: Store undiluted
antibody at 2-8oC for short term storage. For
long term storage, store aliquots at –20oC.
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:

Immunohistochemistry – Frozen sections:
Working dilution: 1:5 – 1;10 (indirect method,
30 min incubation)

Western blot: Working dilution: Undiluted,
although lesser amount of antibody could be
sufficient.
Positive control: Glandular epithelium breast
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
Limitations:
